I believe we all have a book inside of us. This is mine. I started writing it when my son was a baby as a way of letting go of my more difficult emotions. Someone close to me told me that putting it down on paper would make me feel lighter, so I wrote and wrote. I didn’t realize as I began the process that what would emerge was this book. It’s given me a way to share the most challenging times in my life—the ones that changed me. My hope is that Can’t Help Falling offers comfort to women going through their own struggle to motherhood. That it cultivates an understanding of the toll that loss takes for anyone who hasn’t experienced it. But above all, I hope that this book leaves the reader with a profound sense of hope; that life, even in its darkest moments, will inevitably point you to the light.
